FAQs
1. What’s the best age for circumcision?
Ideally within the first few weeks of life. Healing is fastest and the procedure is simplest in newborns, although we do up to 4 years.
2. Can I still circumcise if baby has vaccinations due?
Yes. Just avoid doing both on the same day. A 1–2 day gap is ideal.
3. My baby is under 2 months. Can I give paracetamol?
Yes, but use the dose we provide. Ignore the “2 months+” warning on the bottle — that’s for over-the-counter use.
4. What should we bring on the day?
Both parents (or all legal guardians), valid ID, baby’s birth certificate (if you have it), 2 spare nappies, and feeding supplies.
5. Do both parents need to attend?
Yes, unless agreed with us in advance. Both must give consent.
6. Will my baby feel pain?
We use local anaesthetic and comfort techniques. Most babies settle quickly.
7. What method do you use?
The Plastibell method — safe, quick, and stitch-free.
8. How long does it take?
The procedure takes 10-15 mins. Expect to be at the clinic for about 1 hour.
9. How do I care for it at home?
Keep it clean and change nappies frequently. Aftercare instructions are provided through daily WhatsApp messages.
10. When will the ring fall off?
Usually in 5–10 days on its own. Don’t pull it off.
11. Is it safe?
Yes. Complications are rare. We offer 24/7 aftercare if needed.
